Unified Multi-Vendor Provisioning Interface Seamlessly Updates Inventory to Achieve Totally Automated Telecom Asset Management
New York, NY, July 25, 2005 - MBG, a leading telecom expense management solutions provider, today announced the availability of a new provisioning module for its industry leading telecom expense management solutions. With this new electronic provisioning capability, companies can for the first time order telecom equipment and services from multiple vendors through a unified interface that seamlessly completes the full cycle of telecom expense management processes.
Successfully implemented and refined over the past 12 months, MBG is already providing a solution through the AT&T eBonding gateway for a large multinational financial services organization. The end result has been that it has dramatically reduced the time for order placement. In one instance, the MBG Provisioning solution reduced the circuit ordering time from 30 to seven days, a 75% improvement, while reducing the risk of human error to near zero.
The MBG Provisioning Solution uses the Ultimus BPM suite to streamline workflows in the ordering process. Through this capability companies can get more accurate and timely information on the status of a service request. As an example, telecom departments can send proposals to business units that notify them of cost savings through circuit upgrades. Once the business unit has accepted a proposal, the order can automatically be placed through the MBG Provisioning application. Users can then track the status of the order in real-time and manage the asset through its complete lifecycle.

The MBG Provisioning solution is integrated with the company’s inventory, so updates are automatically made to reflect all changes to the account. This improves the ability to maintain accurate inventories, validate invoices quickly, and accurately verify that companies are not paying for services that have either been disconnected or ordered but not yet installed.
MBG has designed the provisioning application so it can electronically operate with any carriers’ ordering system through an XML gateway. As carriers offer XML gateways for electronic provisioning, MBG is committed to providing an electronic interface to those carriers.
